When these terms apply
These conditions cover every job booked with Telihano, Weena 455, 3013 AL Rotterdam. They apply from the moment you confirm a date by email or pay a deposit, whichever comes first, and they stay in force until the photographs are delivered and paid for.
If anything here clashes with a written quote we sent you, the quote wins. Send any question about these terms to telihano@hotmail.com before you book, not after.
Bookings and deposits
A date is only held once we receive a deposit. Until then the slot stays open and somebody else can take it.
- Weddings: a deposit of 25 percent of the package price confirms the date. The remaining 75 percent is due within fourteen days of delivery.
- Studio and product work: 50 percent upfront for a shoot day, the rest on handover of the files.
- Monthly retainers: invoiced at the start of each month, cancellable with thirty days notice.
Deposits are not refundable when you cancel, but they can be moved to a new date once, if we have that date free.
Cancellations and changes
Life happens and dates move. Here is how we handle it.
- More than eight weeks before the shoot: you lose the deposit, nothing else is owed.
- Between eight weeks and fourteen days: half of the remaining balance becomes payable.
- Inside fourteen days: the full balance is due, because we have turned other work away for that date.
The same scale applies if you move a booking and we cannot fill the original slot. If we have to cancel for a reason on our side, such as illness, you get everything back and we help find a replacement photographer.
Delivery and copyright
Edited files for a product shoot land in your shared folder within five working days. Wedding galleries go online within twenty-one days. Anything faster is possible for a rush fee, agreed in writing beforehand.
Copyright in every photograph stays with Telihano. You receive a licence to use the images for the purpose we agreed: your webshop, your own marketing, your personal use, without a time limit. Reselling the files, passing them to a third party as their own work, or entering them into competitions needs our written approval.
We keep the right to show a selection of the work in our own portfolio. Say so at the time of booking if you would rather we did not, and we will leave the job out.
Liability and equipment
We carry professional liability insurance and back up every card on the spot. Even so, a memory card can fail or a venue can lose power. Our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the shoot, and never to lost profit or missed opportunity.
You are responsible for items you bring to the studio or send by post. Tell us about anything fragile, valuable or irreplaceable before it leaves your hands.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law and any dispute goes to the court in Rotterdam. We would rather settle a problem over a coffee than through lawyers, so email us first. The studio answers messages Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 CET.
