What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. When you come back, the browser sends that file along with the request, which lets the site remember things like your language or the fact that you already dismissed a banner. Some are used only while you browse, others stay on your device for months.
Telihano keeps this as light as possible. The studio site at telihano.com does not need cookies to show you pictures of our work.
Which cookies we set
There are only a few, and they fall into two groups.
- Essential cookies. These remember your cookie choice so the banner does not appear on every page. Without them the site cannot keep track of that decision.
- Statistics cookies. These tell us which pages people open and how long they stay. We use the numbers to decide what to photograph next, and they are only placed if you accept them.
We do not run advertising cookies, we do not build profiles of visitors, and we do not pass cookie data to social networks.
Essential cookies in detail
The essential set is small and does not identify you by name.
- A consent cookie that stores whether you accepted or declined statistics, kept for twelve months.
- A session cookie that keeps a form from losing what you typed if you switch to another tab, deleted the moment you close the browser.
You cannot switch these off from the banner, because the site stops working properly without them, but your browser settings can block every cookie if you prefer.
Statistics cookies in detail
When you accept statistics, we get a rough picture of how the site is used: which service page gets opened, how many people reach the contact form, and where visitors arrive from. The data is aggregated and the IP address is shortened before it is stored, so it cannot be traced back to a person. Statistics cookies are kept for up to fourteen months and then expire on their own.
Managing your choice
You can change your mind whenever you like. Clear the cookies for telihano.com in your browser settings and the banner will ask again on your next visit. Every major browser also lets you block cookies entirely or delete them per site, and you can set the browser to warn you before anything is stored. Full instructions sit in the help pages of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Turning off statistics gives you the same website. Nothing is hidden and no function breaks.
Changes and contact
If we ever add a new tool that uses cookies, this page will name it and describe what it does before it goes live. You will be asked again if the change needs your consent.
Questions about cookies, or about the personal data we hold, can go to telihano@hotmail.com. How we handle that data is described in our Privacy Policy at /privacy-policy/.
